Sunday Funday

Look out, Martha. Today, I channeled my inner domestic diva and whipped up some pretty amazing banana nut bread with a delicious cinnamon and brown sugar glaze. Oh my G-unit, it was tasty. Moist, banana-y, and just the absolute remedy for rainy, cold fall days such as today. It never fails to surprise me how a few simple ingredients can work together to morph into something so yummy.

While the bread was baking, I decided to whip up one of my famed Chickanoodle casserole. I won't bore you with details, but it's elbow macaroni and herb-rubbed, pan-seared chicken drowned in a creamy cheddar and monterey jack sauce. Peas and carrots add a bit of nutrition and a thick topping of italian bread crumbs brings some crunch to the mix. Hot, bubbly, and amazing... just like yours truly.

So I've baked, made a hearty dinner, done laundry, visited Boyfriend's parents, and cleaned the entire house. A romantic comedy and strawberry wine will round off this day quite nicely, I do believe. As of this afternoon, I officially feel comfortable saying, "bring it, winter!"
